Yanggu Huatai has announced that it to invest around €30-million to build a new sulphur factory in the north of Serbia, bringing with it the creation of 101 new jobs.
The Chinese chemical company will locate the facility in Zrenjanin to supply raw materials to the nearby Linglong plant which produces tyres. This plant is already under construction with an investment of €800-million. It is hoped that production will start in 2021 and the company is looking at manufacturing 16.6 million radial tyres each year.
Yanggu Huatai hopes that the sulphur plant will be fully operational within 3 years and the tyre facility currently being constructed by Linglong Europe looks at exporting the tyres to the EU, the US and Russia.
