German industrial giant Bosch has successfully completed the development of a nearly 100,000-square-meter logistics and warehouse center in Miskolc—a strategic investment of approximately €150 million that will supply a wide range of Bosch products to 26 countries.
The 98,500 m² facility not only bolsters Miskolc's importance within Bosch Group’s global value chain but also transforms the region into a critical hub for the company. Built on the site of a former municipal airport, this highly automated center supports Bosch’s local plants and serves as a vital supply hub for distribution centers across East-Central Europe, processing finished goods from Bosch’s power tool factories, among other operations.
In addition to handling orders from customers in Hungary and the Adriatic region, the center efficiently manages the receipt of raw materials from European and international suppliers, distributing them to production facilities based on assembly line needs. Located near the M30 motorway and the 92nd railway line, the facility plays a crucial role in storing and distributing finished products—including automotive components—and in managing packaging materials for both suppliers and customers.
Facilitated with the support of HIPA, this €147.6 million investment further solidifies Bosch Group’s presence in Hungary. With coordinated efforts among its eight Hungarian subsidiaries, Bosch is one of the country’s largest employers, providing jobs for more than 18,000 people. Since 2013, Bosch Group has maintained a strong strategic partnership with the Hungarian government, and on a global scale, the company employs nearly 420,000 people, with last year's revenue reaching approximately €90.5 billion.
This expansion underscores Bosch's ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and efficient supply chain management, ensuring its leadership in the European market.
