To help Poland meet its environmental targets the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agree to loan Elemental Holding 25 million Euros so that it can build Polands first purpose-built battery recycling plant.
The Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) will also help finance the facility which will not only recycle elements from car batteries but will also be able to process other waste containing metal.
Elemental Holding is a company engaged in the collection and recycling of platinum-group metals and electrical waste and has a worldwide presence. The company has operations not only in Poland but also in other European countries, the Middle East and the US.
This is an outstanding example of how new technology and progress with the green economy are working hand in hand. The EBRD is actively supporting Poland’s ambitious agenda to become a low-carbon economy and has already financed several large e-mobility projects with domestic and foreign investors.
