As so many companies have also done in the timber industry, the Titan Group has announced that their first phase of investment will be completed very soon. As a modernisation of Arkhangelsk LDK-3, equipment will be supplied to Russia via the Austrian Springer Maschinengabrik AG. In the plan that has been in the pipeline for quite some months, this first phase will include a new line for sorting sawnlogs, wood waste-based boiler, profiling sawing line, and new sites for storage of raw materials and the finished products.
In phase two, which is expected towards the end of next year, twelve batch drying chambers will be constructed as well as five continuous drying chambers. Furthermore, a new shop for trimming, sorting, and packaging will be added. Once all is said and done, Leszavod 25 (Arkhangelsk LDK-3) will contribute over one and a half million cubic metres of wood for sawing to the industry. On the new LDK-3 site itself, this will account for around a third of this amount in raw material every single year.
