Over the course of the next three years, it has been announced that Kronospan will be investing up to €600 million and this will be going towards wood-based material sites. Currently, the company has three sites in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Kaluga, and Kaliningrad and these are set to be extended with the investment. Furthermore, new plants will also be installed.
So far, we know that orders have already been placed by the company for equipment. Just before the new year, a big order for the wood yard was placed with Holtec and this included a system to de-freeze logs when the weather gets a little colder. This marks exciting times for Kronospan who recently produced the very first board with their new Bjelovar particleboard plant in Croatia.
