Based in Kiev, Huhtamaki has announced plans to open a brand new greenfield paper cup manufacturing plant in order to better serve customers locally as well as on a global scale. Once the new unit is open for business, it will produce cups for all types of drink helped along by a team of around 50 employees. Expected in 2018, it will join up with the Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business niche.

In terms of Huhtamaki, they now have a long history in Ukraine having opened in 2002. However, their products have been imported from manufacturing plants in Poland so this new change will allow them to be more flexible moving forward.
