Earlier in the year US company Wildcat Discover Technologies, who specialise in energy tech, joined forces with the Slovakian group InoBat to work on electromobility and energy storage. It has now been announced that one of Slovakia’s major automotive supply companies, Matador, is joining the project to develop an electric vehicle battery.
Matador group has a history of focus on development, design and the use of technology for improvements in the automotive industry and is expected to play a key role in the production of the InoBat 100MWh which is intended to provide batteries for car manufacturers across Central and Eastern Europe.
The project hopes to build a unique collaboration in terms of research, development and production across the three sectors. The companies are expected to begin operating next year and should be able to provide electric vehicle batteries by the end of 2021.
