Eco Euro Doors, a prominent Romanian door manufacturer catering to residential construction and under the ownership of local holding ROCA Industry, has inked an agreement to acquire a 70% majority share in Workshop Doors. The transaction is contingent on the Competition Council's approval.
The acquisition is strategically designed to bolster the market standing of both entities, leveraging synergies to streamline expenses, amplify production capacity, and diversify product offerings, the holding disclosed.
As per the stipulated terms of the deal, Eco Euro Doors holds the option to purchase an additional 30% of Workshop Doors' issued shares.
"The acquisition of Workshop Doors represents a pivotal stride in the consolidation of our holding and the fulfillment of a commitment—three new acquisitions during 2023. This venture propels us into a phase of expansion and scaling within the interior doors sector, an arena predominantly marked by imports and subpar products," remarked Ionuț Bindea, CEO of ROCA Industry.
Workshop Doors, established in 2009, has been active in the interior door market, operating out of two production facilities located in Reghin and Petelea, Mureș county. The company achieved a turnover of EUR 10.5 million in 2022, with a notable chunk of its in-house production earmarked for international exports.
Eco Euro Doors, integrated into the ROCA Industry portfolio since 2022, boasts a workforce of over 220 employees and boasts a 28-year legacy within the construction materials sector. Its primary focus lies in crafting interior doors within its state-of-the-art Reghin facility. The distribution of their products is conducted both nationally, through DIY retailers, and through a network of specialized distributors.
ROCA Industry, Romania's pioneer industrial holding in the construction materials sector, enjoys a listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and was established by ROCA Investments. It oversees a portfolio of 8 companies, either directly or indirectly affiliated.
